The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedIndios (12-3) in San Francisco on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Caneros (8-8) 105-100 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Indios. Caneros shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 51.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian forward Lazar Lugic (208-1998, agency: Dagger Basket) scored 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Yeison Colome (190-1996) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Caneros players scored in double figures. Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and American forward Charles Brown Jr (198-1997, college: St.Joseph's) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caneros moved-up to fourth place. Indios at the other side still keep top position with three games lost.
